Biography of Rudolf Diesel (The Inventor Diesel Engine)

Rudolf Christian Karl Diesel was born in Paris, France, on 18 March 1858 and died on September 30, 1913 at the age of 55 years, an inventor from Germany.

He was famous for his invention, the diesel engine. However, Diesel mysteriously died on a ferry ship while traveling in England.

Diesel developed a compression-triggering machine idea in the last decade of the 19th century and succeeded in acquiring the patent of the device on February 23, 1893. He had built a working prototype in early 1897 while working at the MAN plant in Augsburg.

This Diesel Engine is hereinafter used and named to honor all forms of its services. Originally, the machine was named "engine oil" and changed to "diesel engine".

His family is a leather craftsman. Since childhood, he is known as one of the very genius.

By the time he was 20, right in 1870, Diesel was awarded a bronze medal from the Societe Pour L'Instruction Elementaire for some of Diesel's brilliant scientific work.

In the same year, however, the Diesel family itself had to leave Paris because of a new policy of the French government at the time about foreign immigrants.

Diesel's father tried to try and still failed to get permission to settle in France. They left and moved to London, England.

Just briefly in London, Diesel then set out on his own to Augsburg, Germany, to continue his studies and live with his uncle and aunt who were there who also taught as teachers at Gewerbsschule. Shortly thereafter, the German and French Wars took place.

Not long ago, starting in 1872, Rudolf became known and recognized as a reliable mechanical candidate. He successfully completed school at Gewerbsschule as one of the best graduates.

After graduation, he then proceeded to the Polytechnic of the Kingdom of Bavaria Munich. War between Germany and France ended and for the first time he could gather and meet again with his family in Paris.

Careers

In 1880, Diesel successfully completed his final exam as a mechanical engineer and became the best graduate ever produced by the München Polytechnic Institute throughout history to date. After graduating, he may decide to settle in Paris and set up a branch company ice-making machine.

In 1883, Rudolf began to build a large ice factory in Paris. After a year later, the ammonia machine development plan was started. In 1886, the factory successfully expanded far into Belgium.

In 1892, Diesel successfully received a patent on the invention of the internal combustion engine workings. Rudolf immediately made his big project by developing what was later known as the diesel engine.

On August 10, 1893, Diesel managed to realize his dream of successfully creating the first diesel engine in the world. Based on the findings from Diesel, he succeeded in obtaining the patent number 608845.
