Westlife itself also holds the record for best selling foreign album in music history in Indonesia and become the only international artist that can sell an album over 1 million units in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, Westlife was unable to penetrate the music industry in the United States, although it was their first single, "Swear it Again" which at that time was quite popular on radio and MTV US.

However, in the MTV TRL show, the video clip "Swear it Again" has been asked several times and made it into the "Hot 100" chart in one of the United States (Billboard Magazine) magazines for the 20th edition of the summer.

Their debut album failed after it was released in 2000 and it became the only album they released in the United States. The band itself is so well known in some areas, such as Asia, Europe, Australia and some countries in the United States.

Like any other boyband, the album they created was aimed at teenage girls, although there were also male fans.

However, their sweet journey must stop after in October 2011, Westlife announced if they will disband after their tour was completed in June 2012.
