Biography of Evita Peron (Political Figure of Argentina)

Maria Eva Duarte de Peron, better known by the name Evita, was born in Los Toldos, a small town located in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, on May 7, 1919 and died in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on July 26, 1952, age 33 years.

Eva was the second wife of Argentine President Juan Domingo Peron (1895-1974) and became the mother of Argentine State since 1946 until the devastating death of 1952.

Although she was never officially elected to become a political figure, as First Lady, she ended up having so much power and influence in government than anyone except her husband.

Evita formed a foundation named Eva Peron Foundation, which is a charitable foundation to build thousands of homes and schools for women and the poor and for the first time in Argentine history ensuring there is no form of social inequality in the maintenance of health for all its citizens.

Not only that, Evita also became a leader of the establishment of the Female Peronist Party, which is the first female political party in Argentina.

In 1951, she did a campaign so she could run for Vice-President of Argentina. However, his wish was opposed by the Argentine military, the elite and her own husband were also opposed.

However, if Evita had been chosen, she would be the first Vice President in the world. However, this title eventually fell to the third wife of Peron named Isabel Peron. Ironically, Peron's third wife also tried to imitate Evita's behavior.

In 1952, Evita managed to obtain the official title, "Leader of the Nation".

Evita has also become a controversial figure in her lifetime, even to this day.

Based on Eva Peron's autobiography itself, it is not known exactly when and where Evita was born. In a birth certificate indicates if on May 7, 1922, was born a baby named Maria Eva Duterte.

However, in the epistle of baptism, Evita is listed if she was born on May 7, 1919 with the name Eva Maria Ibarguren.

Died

Despite the hysterectomy of a US surgeon named George T. Pack, the cancer suffered by Evita quickly attacked her body. Evita could be said to be the first Argentine to undergo chemotherapy (at that time a new treatment).

Although all the treatments at that time were available, she became thinner with only weighing 36 kg in June 1952. Evita died at the age of 33 years on July 26, 1952.
