Dr. (H.C.) Ir. Tri Rishmaharini, M.T or familiarly called Risma, born in Kediri, East Java, November 20, 1961, is the mayor of Surabaya who has served since February 17, 2016.
Risma is the first woman who successfully elected as mayor of Surabaya throughout history. In fact, Risma itself is also listed as the first woman directly elected to be a Mayor with the election of regional heads throughout the history of Indonesian democracy in the reform era and became the first female head of the region in Indonesia, has repeatedly been successfully entered into the list The best leader in the world.

Education
Tri Rismaharini attended elementary school at SDN Kediri and graduated in 1973. Then continued high school at SMPN 10 Surabaya and graduated in 1976, as well as education to SMUN 5 Surabaya and graduated in 1980.

Risma undertook his undergraduate degree in Architecture Department of Institute of Technology Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya and graduated in 1987. Furthermore, Risma continued his postgraduate education in Urban Development Management at Institute of Technology Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya which graduated in 2002.
Precisely on March 4, 2015, Risma succeeded in obtaining honorary doctorate Honoris Causa awarded by Institute of Technology Sepuluh Nopember (ITS).

Appreciation
In the period of leadership of Risma as mayor, Surabaya succeeded to get 4 times Adipura Kencana trophy respectively, in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 29014 for metropolitan category and Adipura Paripurna in 2016.
In fact, not only that, Risma's leadership also succeeded in bringing Surabaya into the best city of its participation in Asia Pacific in 2012 version of Citynet, for all forms of city government success and participation given by the people in managing the environment.
In 2013 itself, Surabaya also under the leadership of Risma won the Asia-Pacific level of the Future Government Awards 2013 in as many as 2 fields at once, namely data center and digital inclusion capable of setting aside 800 cities throughout Asia-Pacific.
